The depth and intrinsic details of life are what make its experience so unique and beautiful. It's how light and dark reflect off those layers that bring emotion to the surface and incite us to see more than what's in front of us.
I believe that beauty is in the eye of the beholder and what you choose to see. Confucius once said, "Everything has beauty but not everyone sees it." It's this philosophy that inspires me to create the work I do.
With each painting, I strive to bring out the raw beauty in any subject, no matter how imperfect. I incorporate those layers of which I find flawed, yet stunning and unique. My hope is that those inspired by my work will take the time to view the world around them in a similar perspective.
